Authorities have rescued nearly 100 people in Sydney as they continue battle a cyclonic storm and flooding along Australia's east coast for a third day on Wednesday. Three elderly people were found dead just north of Sydney Tuesday while two elderly women are missing after a car was swept away in Maitland. Australia's weather agency has warned of more torrential rain and high winds while New South Wales State Premier Mike Baird has declared a natural disaster for some of the worst hit areas. Earlier Wednesday a Carnival cruise ship was trapped at sea but has since entered Sydney harbor. The powerful storm has caused millions of dollars in damage to property and infrastructure in Sydney and surrounding areas.
