As aftershocks roil the country of Nepal on Sunday, the death toll from Saturday’s earthquake has risen to 3,218. Hospitals in the country are over capacity, electricity has been turned off, and storage for dead bodies has run out. Rameshwor Dangal, who heads the home ministry's national disaster management division, said more than 6,500 have also been injured. Helipcopters have been lifting hikers at Mt. Everest to safety, and avalanches triggered by the earthquake killed at least 18 people there, including a Google executive.
