The Baltimore Police Department announced Thursday that it has completed its investigation into the death of Freddie Gray and turned the files over to city prosecutors. “By turning these documents, our findings, over to the state’s attorney’s office as quickly as we can, we are being accountable to them so that we can be accountable to the public,” said Capt. Eric Kowalczyk. The police will not disclose the report to the public though. Six officers have been suspended but it will be up to the Baltimore state’s attorney to decide whether to charge them criminally.
