A Marshall University football player was arrested on charges that he beat a same-sex couple who had been kissing on the street in Huntington, West Virginia. According to court documents, Steward Butler was in a vehicle, but got out of his car and began shouting derogatory remarks at the couple. The running back then allegedly punched at least one of the men in the face. Butler has been suspended from the team and faces two years behind bars or a fine if found guilty.
