Oklahoma lawmakers passed a bill on Wednesday that will allow school districts to outfit a trained staffer with a firearm at each school. The legislation will require the designated personnel to attend an armed security guard training program or reserve peace officer course. Opponents are worried it will lessen the school's liability in case harm is done by the armed worker. Gov. Mary Fallin still has to sign the legislation into law.
