Apple CEO Tim Cook joined Chinese microblogging service Weibo on Monday, underscoring the significance of the Chinese smartphone market to Apple. Cook's verified account on the Twitter-like service has already amassed 320,000 followers as of early Monday, according to TechCrunch. The news comes on the heels of the Cupertino-based company's announcement that it plans to expand its renewable paper and energy initiatives in China.
