United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said on Tuesday his visit to North Korea was canceled one day before he was due to arrive. Ban was expected to meet with South Korean business leaders and North Korean workers at an industrial complex in the Kaesong economic zone, which is run by both the North and South. Ban, who is formerly South Korea's foreign minister, said he was given no explanation and the cancellation was "deeply regrettable." Ban would have been the first UN chief to visit the country in more than two decades.
