At least one person, an Oklahoma firefighter, has been killed and hundreds of homes are underwater as parts of Oklahoma and Texas have been hit hard by floods. The Oklahoma City metro area has had the rainiest 40 days and 40 nights in the city’s history with 20.46 inches. According to the National Weather Service, flooding has continued along the Blanco River in Wimberley, Texas where the river rose 35 feet within a few hours. At least 350 homes are underwater in another small Texas town.
