A magnitude 6.8 earthquake shook Alaska’s southwest coast early Friday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake’s epicenter was 64 miles south-southeast of Ugashik and about 38 miles deep. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said there was no threat of a tsunami for California or the West Coast following the quake. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
