Secretary of State John Kerry is set to return to the United States on Monday after breaking his leg in a bike accident in France. Kerry was spending the night at a Swiss hospital out of precaution and would fly to Boston for more treatment at Massachusetts General Hospital, according to State Department spokesman John Kirby. The secretary canceled the rest of his trip to four countries, including an international conference on battling Islamic State militants. The 71-year-old fractured his right femur after crashing his bike in Scionzier, which is roughly 25 miles from Geneva, where Kerry is holding nuclear talks with Iran. “The secretary continues to be in great spirits and active,” Kirby said.
