On Friday, Oakland Athletics acquired one talented pitcher. The major league baseballe team purchased the contract of Pat Venditte, who hails from Nashville’s Triple-A. He will become major league baseball’s first ambidextrous pitcher since 1995. Venditte can switch-pitch a fastball, slider and changeup while using an ambidextrous glove fitted with two thumbholes. He currently ranks fourth among pitchers in the Pacific Coast League and had signed with the New York Yankees in 2008.
