The former district attorney who prosecuted Anthony Graves, sending him to prison for 18 years for a crime he didn't commit, was officially disbarred in Texas on Friday. Charles Sebesta Jr., the man responsible for putting Graves in jail for capital murder, had previously lost his law license after a hearing that examined the case. A disciplinary panel determined Thursday that Sebesta didn't provide exculpatory evidence to the defense of Graves, presented false testimony to the jury, made a false statement of material fact to the judge and engaged in fraudulent conduct. Graves was freed from prison four years ago after being scheduled for execution on two separate occasions.
