A 19-year-old North Carolina man has been charged with attempting to provide material support to ISIS, after his father alerted the authorities in April. Justin Nojan Sullivan, who was arrested Friday, is accused by federal prosecutors of transporting a gun silencer across state lines to commit a felony as well as illegal possession of an unregistered silencer. The trouble began when Sullivan's father reportedly saw him "destroying Buddhas, figurines and stuff," according to an ABC News report. An FBI agent later got in contact with Sullivan in June at which point he said he had converted to Islam and was a "mujahid." Sullivan allegedly told an undercover officer that “The war is here,” and said he planned to shoot American citizens for ISIS.
