A Sacramento superior court has ruled that California Attorney General Kamala Harris can squash a ballot inititave calling for the execution of homosexuals. The Sodomite Suppression Act, proposed by Huntington Beach attorney Matt McLaughlin, has been condemned by officials of all political affiliations. Judge Raymond Cadei said the bill “is patently unconstitutional on its face,” and advancing it “would be inappropriate, waste public resources, generate unnecessary divisions among the public, and tend to mislead the electorate.”
