U.S. officials say the terms of the interim nuclear agreement with Iran have been extended until Friday, which effectively extends the deadline for talks on a permanent deal. “To allow for the additional time to negotiate, we are taking the necessary technical steps for the measures of the [2013 agreement] Joint Point of Action to remain in place through July 10,” a State Department spokeswoman said.
