Russia on Wednesday vetoed a United Nations resolution condemning the 1995 Srebrenica massacre in Bosnia as a genocide. Some 8,000 Muslim men and boys were killed in the town by the Serbian army in the worst act of mass murder in Europe since the end of World War II. Russia’s UN ambassador called the resolution put forth by the U.K. and U.S. “not constructive, confrontational and politically motivated.”
