Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred kicked off the All-Star Game by hinting Tuesday at a possible expansion for the sport for the first time in 17 years. “We have a list of cities we think are viable,” Manfred told reporters at a press luncheon before the game. Manfred’s latest comments are a step forward from the last time he was asked the question in January, when he said he didn't see it “in the immediate future.” The MLB has not expanded since Arizona and Tampa Bay welcomed teams for the 1998 season.
