Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal praised the heroism of two teachers during a shooting inside a Lafayette movie theater that left three people dead and several others injured Thursday night. Jindal said one of the teachers jumped in front of her colleague when the shooter opened fire. The second teacher, though still shot in the leg, managed to pull a fire alarm to alert the rest of the theater. “The best thing you can do right now is think of them and shower them with love,” the governor said of the victims. “We can pray. We can hug these families. We can shower them with love, thoughts, and prayers.” Jindal also commended local law-enforcement officers who “ran towards the shooting.”
