Rolling Stone has appointed Men's Journal editor Jason Fine to succeed Will Dana as its managing editor, Fine confirmed Sunday. Dana announced on Wednesday he would leave the magazine, just months after his staff was forced to retract a now-debunked article alleging a gang rape at the University of Virginia. Fine said in an interview he would start his new gig at Rolling Stone in the second week of August, but would oversee the close of this week's issue. Fine will also serve as editorial director of Men's Journal, which is Rolling Stone's sister publication.
