The families of 16 people killed in the 2012 Sandy Hook massacre will receive about $94,000 each in a settlement against the estate of the mother of shooter Adam Lanza. The estate has been valued at $1.5 million, which will be equally divided among the families. The lawsuits claimed that Nancy Lanza had purchased the gun her son used in the shooting and kept it in the home where he had easy access to it. The settlements have to get final approval by a probate judge, but lawyers say it should happen by the end of the month.
