A suspect in the shooting death of a Louisiana police officer has been taken into custody. Grover Cannon, 27, is accused of fatally shooting Officer Thomas LaValley when the latter responded to a call about a possibly armed man threatening a neighbor in her home in Shreveport. LaValley confronted Cannon and was shot multiple times in the upper body, said Shreveport Police Chief Willie Shaw. LaValley was taken into custody after a 16-hour manhunt. He was found in a garage behind a home in the city and was arrested without incident.
