Egypt’s Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb and his cabinet resigned Saturday days after one minister was accused of corruption. President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi said he would accept the resignations if Mehleb and his ministers stay on as a caretaker government until a new one is formed. No reason was given for the resignations, but minister of agriculture Salah Helal was detained Monday on corruption charges for allegedly accepting cash and properties in exchange for helping secure land.
