University of Missouri Provost Garnett Stokes said Tuesday that Chuck Henson has been appointed as its interim vice chancellor of inclusion, diversity, and equity—a new position at the embattled school. The move comes a day after both the school’s president and chancellor resigned in the face of protests regarding racial attacks and systemic bias. Henson, an associate dean at the UM law school, has worked at the university since 2009 and before that was an assistant attorney general in the Missouri Attorney General’s Office.
