The U.S. Holocaust Museum expressed concern over the House vote on Syrian and Iraqi refugees today. “Acutely aware of the consequences to Jews who were unable to flee Nazism, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum looks with concern upon the recent refugee crisis,” the statement said. It went on to say that the U.S. should "not turn our backs" on "legitimate refugees." The Church World Service similarly condemned the decision saying that the legislation "fans the flames of bigotry and fear."
