The terror group al-Shabab attacked an army base for African Union peacekeepers in southwestern Somalia on Friday. Military official Ahmed Hassan told the AP that heavy fighting continued inside the base, which is run by Kenyan troops, after dozens of militants stormed the base in El-Ade. The attack began with a suicide car bomb and was followed by heavy gunfire. It was not immediately clear if there were any casualties.
