Bob Dole Prefers Trump to Cruz

Bob Dole may not like Donald Trump very much, but he really does not like Ted Cruz. The former Republican senator and presidential candidate has previously bashed both candidates, but in Wednesday comments to the media he revealed that he is amenable to Trump as the GOP nominee, while he thinks Cruz would result in a “cataclysmic” loss for the party. Of Trump, Dole said, he’d “probably work with Congress, because he’s, you know, he’s got the right personality and he’s kind of a deal-maker.” With Cruz, however, “I don’t know how he’s going to deal with Congress. Nobody likes him.”
