Authorities said a person was shot and killed and a K9 officer was fatally stabbed in Pittsburgh on Sunday. Port Authority Police said the dog was killed after a foot chase and was rushed to a nearby veterinary hospital with multiple stab wounds. The 5-year-old German shepherd, identified as K9 Aren, died after being transported, according to a Facebook post by the Pittsburgh Police K9 Unit. Sources told CBS a person was shot and killed by police after he stabbed the police dog.
