The U.S. Department of Justice is reportedly launching an investigation into the San Francisco Police Department, but it was unclear what the probe would focus on, the Los Angeles Times reported Sunday. Justice officials are expected to announce details regarding the review Monday. The police department has come under scrutiny for the fatal shooting of the 26-year-old black man Mario Woods in December, as well as a separate incident in which officers sent homophobic and racist text messages.
