Over 20 private colleges have Texas have decided to keep their gun bans after a law passed allowing them on public university campuses. Private schools were able to follow suit if they were interested when the law goes into effect in August. But none have wanted to change their policies. Baylor, Texas Christian and Southern Methodist universities have all declined to allow guns.
