The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Friday advised pregnant women not to travel to Rio de Janeiro for the summer Olympics due to the outbreak of Zika there. The Zika virus, which is a mosquito-borne illness, has been linked to defects in babies such as microcephaly, a condition which hinders brain development and causes an abnormally small head.
