Three Chicago police officers were shot while responding to complaints about narcotics on the city’s West Side on Monday night. The officers were hit just before 10 p.m. and were taken to a local hospital, where officials said they were expected to survive their injuries. The officers said they confronted a suspicious man and woman before the man fled and began firing shots. At least one officers returned fire and fatally shot the man, Police Superintendent John Escalante said. The woman was taken into cutsody, he added.
