Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel was indicted on a misdemeanor assault charge, a person in the district attorney’s office told WFAA-TV. The announcement is expected to be formally announced Monday, the person said, on condition of anonymity. Manziel’s family-violence case was heard by a Dallas County grand jury Thursday. He was accused of assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Colleen Crowley, in Dallas in January. In the wake of Manziel’s domestic-violence case, the former Heisman Trophy winner has been dropped by two agents in two months, and was accused of causing more than $30,000 in damage at a Los Angeles home during a party this month.
