An Australian man who was said to be a top recruiter for ISIS has allegedly been killed by a U.S. airstrike in Iraq, according to multiple media reports. Neil Prakash, considered Australia’s most prominent ISIS recruiter, was reportedly killed during an airstrike in Mosul on April 29, Australian Attorney General George Brandis said in a statement. Prakash was considered to be the most senior Australian in the militant group, with links to several plots to attack Australia and appearances in propaganda videos. An Australian woman was also reportedly killed in a separate U.S. airstrike in Syria last month. The woman was identified as Shadi Jabar, the sister of Farhad Jabar, the teen who killed a police accountant in Sydney last year. Jabar and her Sudanese husband, who was also killed in the strike, were also allegedly ISIS recruiters.
