Dwyane Wade said Sunday he meant no disrespect to Canadians, after he faced a public backlash for taking a few extra warm-up shots as the nation’s anthem, “O Canada,” was performed before Miami’s loss to the Toronto Raptors in Game 3. The Miami Heat star tends to not line up for the pregame anthem without making his last shot, which is usually a bank shot from the right wing. Footage of the game showed he did not take his spot standing with teammates until about 20 seconds into the Canadian anthem Saturday. “I’m not a disrespectful person. So if anybody thinks I’m being disrespectful towards a country, then they have no idea of who Dwyane Wade is.” Wade said he’d adjust his pregame ritual for Game 4 on Monday night.
