After less than a day of deliberation, a Colorado jury has sided with Cinemark four years after the Aurora theater shooting. In the civil trial, the panel ruled the movie-theater company was not liable for the 12 lives lost in the mass shooting by James Holmes. About 60 survivors and family members of those killed filed the suit, which alleged that the theater’s security protocols were not robust enough and enabled the massacre.
