Cleveland Indians outfielder Marlon Byrd was suspended 162 games—the length of a full MLB season—without pay on Wednesday for a performance-enhancing drug violation. Byrd tested positive for Ipamorelin in what his lawyer, Jay Reisinger, said was the result of a tainted supplement. "Marlon is devastated, but understands that he is responsible for the supplements he takes," Reisinger said. Byrd was previously slapped with a 50-game suspension after he tested positive for Tamoxifen. MLB rules say that a second offense results in a full-season suspension. At 38 years old, Byrd's career is likely over.
