The Oakland police department has seen its third police chief in a week removed amid investigations into a sex scandal. Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf announced the news late Friday, saying the temporary police chief, Paul Figueroa, had left after just two days on the job. City Administrator Sabrina Landreth is now set to try her hand at the job, he said. The latest shake-up comes as the department faces allegations that more than a dozen officers had sex with an underage prostitute.
