The father-in-law of the Baton Rouge police officer who allegedly fatally shot Alton Sterling is accusing black protesters of peddling an “agenda” based on police killings. James Durdin said Sterling drew a gun on his son-in-law, Blane Salamoni—a claim that has been thoroughly debunked by eyewitnesses and a graphic video of the altercation obtained earlier Wednesday by The Daily Beast. “It burns my you-know-what when it's—usually the black people—that try to make an agenda out of this,” Durdin told The New York Daily News. “What I’d like to see is them with no police at all, so they can know what it's like not to have them.” He went on to say that most police officers are not abusive and that “social chaos” would ensue without them.
