Five people were arrested early Tuesday morning after allegedly opening fire on police in Washington, D.C. No injuries were reported in the exchange, according to local media reports. The suspects were in an SUV when they began shooting at officers who responded to the scene after reports of shots fired in the area. Officials say they believe the group had committed another crime before authorities arrived. Police reportedly negotiated with the vehicle’s occupants over a 30-minute period. Three women and two men were taken in to custody.
