Keep an eye out for men who look Muslim—that’s the gist of a security alert provided to The Daily Beast that Republican National Convention staffers received Tuesday evening a little after 7:30 p.m. “RNC Security: BOLO:Suspicious men described as Muslim carrying large back packs and carrying assault wpns,” it read. The alert also said the men were in an alley headed “to Carnegie,” which likely refers to Cleveland’s Carnegie Avenue. A follow-up alert sent to the same list shortly after 9:30 p.m. said operations were back to normal. “All previous incidents have been monitored and resolved,” it read. A spokesperson for the convention said the RNC does not comment on security. The Cleveland Police Department’s public information office did not respond to a request for comment. —Betsy Woodruff
