Chelsea Manning could face "indefinite solitary confinement" for an attempted suicide attempt, the American Civil Liberties Union says. Manning, currently serving 35 years for leaking millitary and diplomatic documents to WikiLeaks, reportedly attempted suicide in prison on July 5. Officials at the United States Disciplinary Barracks in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas where Manning is imprisoned said they were investigating her for charges of “resisting the force cell move team,” “prohibited property,” and “conduct which threatens.” If convicted, Manning could be placed in solitary confinement "indefinitely."
