Six state employees face criminal charges following the Flint water crisis, the Detroit Free Press reports. The officials were part of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality. Nancy Peeler, Corinne Miller, Robert Scott, Leanne Smith, Adam Rosenthal, and Patrick Cook were charged in district court, according to the newspaper. Authorities in April charged three others, including two Michigan Department of Environmental Quality officials and one City of Flint official. Mike Glasgow, the city official, has pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge. He is cooperating with the investigation, the newspaper reports. The others, Stephen Busch and Mike Prysby, are still waiting on their preliminary examinations. In April 2014, Flint's drinking water was contaminated with lead when the city switched its water supply from Detroit to the Flint River.
