A chain-reaction car accident involving 27 vehicles on an interstate north of Atlanta has left 13 people hospitalized. A spokesman for Bartow County Department of Emergency Medical Services said the victims ranged in age from 11 to 61, and involved both minor and severe injuries. The accident, which occurred on I-75 at about 5 p.m. Sunday, appears to have been caused by a major storm. At least 27 vehicles were involved in the crash, and the National Traffic Safety Board has been called in to investigate the pileup.
