Baylor University football player Ishmael Zamora, who beat his dog, has been suspended for three games. A video of the event was recorded on Snapchat and then shared with local police, who charged him with a Class C misdemeanor. He was also fined up to $500 by officials. Baylor has mandated that he complete 40 hours of community service hours, in addition to animal-related counseling. His mother now has custody of the pet dog. “I am sorry that I took out my frustration on my dog and accept the punishment that comes with it,” Zamora reportedly said. “This incident will never, ever, happen again. I truly love my dog, however, I know that my actions showed differently and I know that I made a big mistake.”
