A murder suspect managed to slip out of his handcuffs and escape police custody in Las Vegas over the weekend, prompting a major manhunt on Sunday. The suspect, identified as Alonso Perez, 25, was being questioned over the Aug. 27 killing of 31-year-old Mohammed Robinson, who was shot outside a Las Vegas McDonald's. Perez was brought in for questioning on Friday, but when he was left alone in the interrogation room, he twisted his handcuffs until they snapped and broke free, police said. By Sunday, North Las Vegas police still had not found him, and family members of his alleged victim began to appeal to the public for help bringing him back in. "I want him found and I want him to pay for what he did," said Magdaliene Nestor-Robinson, Mohammed Robinson's sister. "It's ridiculous. You need to think about your actions. You could've walked away from the argument, you didn't need to start the argument, you didn't need to take it any further." Police have warned that Perez is armed and dangerous. He is believed to have stolen a white 2016 Ford F-250 pickup truck from a nearby parking lot when he fled.
