Sen. Barbara Boxer called for a federal investigation of Donald Trump’s modeling agency, Trump Model Management, for alleged labor and immigration offenses. A Mother Jones exposé revealed three former models for the agency worked while on tourist visas—a violation of immigration law—because the Trump Model Management did not get work authorization for them. Other former models said they were “coached” on best practices to avoid immigration-enforcement officials. “I am extremely concerned by the claims levied against Trump Model Management and ask that you open an investigation into the company’s employment practices,” Boxer (D-CA) wrote to the director of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service.
