New details emerged Thursday about the 14-year-old boy accused of fatally shooting his father and opening fire at an elementary school in South Carolina, injuring three people. According to a family friend, the alleged gunman, whose identity is being shielded because he is a minor, was once suspended for bringing a weapon to school and was recently being homeschooled. The gunman shot two six-year-old students and one female teacher. One of the students is still in the hospital in critical condition. Before arriving at Townville Elementary School, he shot and killed his 47-year-old father on a nearby road.
