The oldest operating brewery in the United States came out in favor of Donald Trump for president on Monday, when Eric Trump visited the Pennsylvania plant and touted the beer’s success story. D.G. Yuengling & Son, located in Schuylkill County, opened in 1820 and its traditional lager is omnipresent in parts of the northeastern United States. The younger Trump said during his tour that his father would win Pennsylvania based on a message that attracts workers and businessmen alike—he bashed Obamacare and lamented excess regulations while touting the brewery as an example of smaller businesses working hard to provide a prosperous life for their families. “Our guys are behind your father,” Richard "Dick" Yuengling Jr. said. “We need him in there.” The company’s information technology officer also expressed his support for the Republican candidate, telling local media: “Trump supports hard-working men and women like those in our region. He hits home with all of us, as he does with me.”
