Moira Smith, a lawyer and ex-Truman Foundation scholar, says Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas groped her multiple times at a dinner party at his Fall Church, Va., home in 1999. Smith opened up about the incident earlier this month in a Facebook post on the day that Donald Trump’s comments on a 2005 “Access Hollywood” tape were leaked. “He groped me while I was setting the table, suggesting I should sit ‘right next to him,’” Smith, who was 23 at the time, wrote on Facebook. Thomas has denied the allegation, calling it “preposterous.” Three other dinner guests who were interviewed said they had no knowledge of the incident.
