A University of Virginia police officer has resigned as an investigation found he made “inappropriate” use of his patrol vehicle’s public address system to shout pro-Donald Trump slogans the morning after the election. Three university cops were put on paid leave after being accused of shouting Trump’s campaign slogan, “Make America Great Again!”, at students in the early hours following the reality-TV star’s electoral victory over Hillary Clinton. An investigation into the incident found that only one of the three officers used the PA system, the department said in a press release Friday morning. “The officer responsible for making the address over the PA took responsibility for his actions and has resigned,” the statement further noted.
